City of Commerce Utility Application Instructions
The following link will take you to an electronic application for utilities with the City of Commerce. Please complete the application in its entirety. The application will not submit without the upload portion of the application being completed. Please upload a copy of each applicant's Driver's License or other state issued identification in the attachment section (if using a smartphone you can simply use your camera). When purchasing a property, please attach proof of purchase (first page of closing papers or deed, etc.). Once the application is submitted, an email will be sent to confirm the account has been created and is ready for payment of deposits & service fees. Payments can be made by phone with a credit or debit card for a fee of $4.50. Renters must have our Property Owner Agreement form completed by the landlord/property owner before services can be activated. Applications & fees must be submitted 24 hours in advance to ensure activation. Properties inside the City limits are subject to an inspection by the City Inspector’s Office (no fee required). Applicants moving into the city limits of Commerce must contact the inspector's office to schedule an inspection via telephone at 706.335.4200 or [email protected].




PROPERTY OWNER AGREEMENT FORM This document gives the City of Commerce written authorization from the property owner to issue utilities to the tenant(s) listed on the form.
