Councilman Wayne Gholston
Wayne Gholston was born December 5, 1961 to Mr. Waynom Gholston and Mrs. Betty Huff Gholston. He was elected as Councilman for Ward 1 on November 8, 2005 and took office on January 9, 2006; he is a 1980 graduate o Franklin County High School and has been employed with Baker & Taylor Book Company since 1981 as a material coordinator.
Formerly a resident of Franklin County, he moved to Commerce in 1986 and married on June 28, 1987 to the former Jacquelin Williams; they have an eight-year-old daughter, Zaria.
Wayne and his family are active members of Warren Chapel United Methodist Church.
His hobbies are basketball, shooting pool, and working with computers.
