Hello, My name is Billy Vandiver. I have lived in Commerce almost all of my life. I graduated with honors from Commerce High School in 1980 and North Georgia College with a B.B.A. in 1985. I have been married to Jennifer C. Vandiver for 12 years and have four children Kimberly (deceased), Katie, Kaylee, and Alex.
I have been employed by the City of Commerce for the past three years as Building Inspector, Code Enforcement Officer, Housing Inspector, and City Marshal. Prior to working for the City of Commerce, I served on the City of Commerce Planning Commission from 1997 to 2002, and was Chairman of the Planning Commission from 1998-2002. I am a certified inspector. I enjoy spending time with my family, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, and racing.
I am a member of the Jackson County Foster Parents Association, National Association of Property Inspectors, Georgia State Inspectors Association, International Code Council, and several other organizations.
