      Library Cards

If you live in the state of Georgia, you are eligible to sign up for a library card. Photo ID and proof of current mailing address are required.  Children under 18 may register for a card with the signature of a parent or legal guardian.

      Check-Out and Return of Materials

You must present your card in order to check out materials.
Books and audio materials may be checked out for a two-week period. Videos and DVDs may be checked out for one week.  Books (except books on hold for another patron) may be renewed twice either by phone, online, or in person. Videos are not renewable. Items may be returned through the Book Drop at any hour. Please rubberband audios and videos to prevent damage.

      Overdue & Other Fines

Overdue fines are $ .10 per day for books and $1 per day for audios and videos, with a $5  maximum. Patrons returning seriously damaged books will be assessed the cost of replacing them. The fine for a lost book is the replacement cost, plus whatever overdue fines have accrued.  Parents are legally responsible for their children's overdue fines and/or damage fees. A $.50 rewinding fee is charged for any video that has not been re-wound before being returned.

      Other Fees

Photocopying $ .10 per page; oversized pages are $ .20 per page.
The cost of printing from the computer is $ .20 per page.

      Supervision of Children

For safety's sake, children under the age of 8 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult at all times while in the library.

      Computer & Internet Use

The library offers Internet access for research and educational purposes. To use the library's computers, you must log in at the front desk.
Use of the computers is limited to 30 minutes when others are waiting.
Patrons under the age of 16 must have a parent sign their computer registration form in the presence of a librarian. Parents are cautioned that the library has no control over Internet materials, and no way of supervising individual users.
Non-Internet computer educational games, encyclopedias, and research tools are also offered. Headphones are available at the front desk.
The cost of printing from the computer is $ .20 per page.

      Use of Meeting Room

Civic groups may use the Meeting Room free of charge. It can also be booked for private events during hours when the library is staffed, at a cost of $50, plus a $50 refundable deposit.
