Lonnie Dickerson

serves as Director of the department and has extensive experience having 40 years of experience in the leisure services field. He has been in his present position in Commerce for the past fourteen years. Most of his previous experience was in Athens, Georgia where he served as Director of Recreation for the Athens City Government and subsequently in the same position for the Athens-Clarke County Unified Government for a total of 24 years. Dickerson is a graduate of the University of Georgia.

Ricky Woodruff

currently serves as Assistant Director. Ricky is a 1993 graduate of Piedmont College where he was a standout baseball player. He has extensive experience in the organization and operation of sports leaques for youth which are the backbone of activities offered by the Parks & Recreation Department.  He has been in his present position for the past thirteen years.

June Olivares

serves as Administrative Assistant and has been on staff for seven years.

Ernie Savage

serves as Maintenance Supervisor and has served for almost fourteen years.
