Service
Establishing Service
To establish natural gas service, please call the Commerce City Hall at (706) 335-3164. They will request a contact name, telephone number and the location where you desire gas service. A service representative will contact you after determining availability of gas in the area and the piping required.
If natural gas service is available in the area, the service representative will contact you requesting information about the number and types of gas appliances or equipment planned. The gas appliances or equipment planned are needed to establish the pipe size required.
Fees for gas service are based on amount and size of piping required and the planned gas usage of the connected gas appliances or equipment. For information on fees see Natural Gas Tap Fees.
Terminating Service
If you desire to have the gas service line and meter removed, the owner of the property must request the termination in writing. Termination requests are available at the Commerce City Hall or a letter requesting the termination may be mailed to the City of Commerce. The owner or a legal representative must sign a termination request.
