Councilman Donald Wilson
Councilman Donald Wilson was born September 20, 1942 on a rural farm in Jackson County. His parents were the late Howard Wilson and Irene Minish Wilson. Councilman Wilson is married to Willie Lee Wilson and they have four children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He and his wife reside on Rice Street.
Councilman Wilson attended school at Ila Elementary and Commerce City schools. He went to the University of Georgia and received a master's degree from Gwinnett Hall Baptist Seminary.
Councilman Wilson has been a successful businessman in real estate and as a paint contractor for the past 34 years. He has served as pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Commerce since 1980. He is past-president of the Tri-County Ministerial Association.
Councilman Wilson has served on the Commerce city council from 1974 until the present time. He has served as mayor pro tem as well as on several committees in the area.
Councilman Wilson's hobbies are antique cars and serving the people in the Church and community.
