Industrial Development in a City on the Right Track!
With two outstanding industrial parks, Commerce is poised to grow.
The newly developed Commerce / I-85 Industrial Park is a 423.26 acre site developed by Rooker & Associates, a proven leader nationwide in industrial development. Currently the site has a 962,280 square foot speculative building. Yes, that is 22.09 acres under roof! The development has access to Interstate 85, the rail road, and all city utilities.
With its 114-acre industrial park, Commerce has all of the room that your company needs to grow for years to come. The park features:
-
Ownership and development by Jackson County Industrial Development Authority

The Most for Your Money
The city and county want you to come here and prosper. That's why we help you as much as we can when it comes to financial matters.
2007 Commerce and City School Proposed Property Tax Rates
City Tax: 1.000
School Tax: 17.750
Total Rate: 18.750
For at least ten years in a row, Commerce has the lowest combined property tax rate in Jackson County. One reason for this is that Commerce operates its own utility system and puts income from those sources back into general city operations, thus keeping its city tax rate unusually low. Commerce intends to levy only 1.000 mills of ad valorem taxes for its operations for 2007.
