      Historic Attractions

      Commerce offers many beautiful historic neighborhoods and a wonderful historic Central business district. The Harmony Grove Commercial District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. There you will find many unique shops containing everything from antiques and collectibles to home furnishings to men's and ladies' fashions. Area restaurants are ready to satisfy your cravings for a snack or a substational meal.

      Events

      Commerce offers several seasonal activities through the Commerce Area Business Association and the Downtown Development Authority. Some of the annual events include: the Easter Parade and Egg Hunt as well as Downtown Trick or Treat for little children, the Tigers on the Town Pep Rally celebrating the start of school and Commerce's strong grid iron tradition and an annual Christmas parde. But it is in the heat of summer that Commerce really gets hopping. Country music legend Bill Anderson annually returns to his adopted hometown bringing with him the stars of Nashville who shine for three days during the City Lights Festival.

      Golf

      Golf is a popular sport in Commerce. There are three easily accessible courses in the Commerce area. The privately owned Chateau Elan Golf Club in nearby Braselton is open to the public and offers an 18-hole course on 170 acres with a clubhouse and restaurant all adjacent to Chateau Elan Winnery. Deer Trail Country Club offers a 9-hole course with a clubhouse and a swimming pool and is open to the public. Eagle Greens at Sandy Creek golf course a privately owned 18-hole course open to the public is located in Commerce on Hwy 98.
