Bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Come and enjoy a FREE Movie in the Park at Spencer Park in downtown Commerce. With the help of a Georgia Council for the Arts' Grassroots Arts Program Grant, the Commerce Downtown Development Authority is showing SURF'S UP, a G-Rated movie on a 20' x 20' inflatable movie screen equiped with a professional sound system. FREE CONCESSIONS!
The Commerce Area Business Association helps to foster a better business climate in the Commerce Area through promotional activities and small business seminars.
The market will be open in downtown Commerce from 7:00am to 11:00am. All products must be grown, produced or made in Georgia. All items must be sold by container, bag or item. No scales will be allowed, unless certified by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. All kinds of fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, plants, cut flowers, potted plants, herbs, jams, jellies, cakes, cookies, breads, pies and honey may be sold. For a list of prohibited items, please contact the DDA Office. Vendors will pay a one-time fee of $10 for entrace into the 2008 Market.
It is the mission of the Downtown Development Authority to enhance the continued growth and development of Commerce through the preservation, promotion and education of its rich cultural and economic heritage by coordinating the process of downtown development. The Downtown Development Authority and Main Street Program seek to promote future investment through creative redevelopment, revitalization and the economic restructuring of our community.
